Quality Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to maintain and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves managing customer quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, developing and tracking quality metrics and KPIs, leading inspection activities for fabricated sheet metal components, and ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including NCR, CAR, RCA, 8D, ECN, and internal audit processes. Manage customer quality issues, complaints, and warranty claims, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop and track quality metrics and KPIs to monitor product, process, and supplier performance. Lead inspection activities across supplier, receiving, in-process, and final inspection for fabricated sheet metal components. Qualify, onboard, and develop suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and fabrication standards. Support production through NCR management, quality training, and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and process inefficiencies in fabrication operations. Promote a strong safety and quality culture throughout the manufacturing floor. Essential Skills Quality engineering Continuous improvement Quality assurance Supplier quality Root cause analysis Sheet metal fabrication Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Preferred experience includes metal fabrication, welding, painting processes, SolidWorks, PDM/MRP/ERP systems, and drafting standards (ANSI Y14). Experience with ISO 9001 and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred. Work Environment The work environment involves collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams on the production floor. It is dynamic and fast‑paced, requiring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role may involve using SolidWorks, PDM/MRP/ERP systems, and adhering to ANSI Y14 drafting standards. Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Winneconne, WI. Pay And Benefits $90,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year.
