Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician for Power Motive Corporation, you will have a critical role in our Service Department's overall success. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our heavy construction and mining equipment. Operating from a service truck, this role delivers critical technical repair support to our team and customers directly on the job sites and mining locations. As a Field Service Technician, you are to ensure maximum machine uptime by resolving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues all while maintaining the highest level of safety standards and strong customer relationships in the field.Essential Duties of a heavy equipment Field Service Technician:Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed.Continuously develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines.Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or Service Writer/Shop Foreman.Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.Prepare legible, accurate and detailed records of work as it is performed.Document unusual or excessive time requirements for unforeseen problems.Report any additional work recommended and/or required on equipment to the Service Manager for notification to customer or sales department.Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment, company assigned vehicle and report any additional special tools needed to ServiceManager.Accountable for completing/performing all work as stated.Always conduct self to present a professional image of the dealership.Promote dealership growth thru suggestive selling of parts and service.Accountability of all time and materials used in job assigned.Proactively works with other employees and departments to give the customer a positive experience in ways that promote respect and teamwork.Benefits:HealthVisionDentalHealth Savings Account with Employer Contribution up to $1750.00 a yearFSA Options401K with Company Match100K Employer paid AD&DSupplemental Life OptionsPTO accruing on start dateSick Time8 Paid Holidays a YearShort Term and Long-Term Disability OptionsBereavement TimeFull Day Jury Duty PayEAP ProgramAnnual Boot Allowance$300.00 Prescription Safety Glasses ReimbursementDealership Level Technician TrainingAdvancement OpportunitiesMust have 2–4-years of minimum Heavy Equipment Mechanical ExperienceMust hold valid Medical Card or ability to get one on hire date.Heavy Equipment Dealer certifications preferredMinimum CDL B preferredMust be willing and able to travel 50%-100% of the time.Work EnvironmentMonday–Friday, 7:00AM- 4:00 PM (shift is as needed, with overtime, possible weekends as needed)Outdoor Environment and potential exposure to industrial environmentsThe noise level in the work environment is moderate to loudPhysical Requirements:Bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, kneeling and lifting are continuous essential functions of the jobWill lift from 1-75 pounds from floor to five feet level and team lift heavier itemsNormal physical agility is a mustRequires the use of both hands #J-18808-Ljbffr
