Patient Services Specialist

Job Description Summary Patient Services Specialist (PSS) will perform clerical duties in a medical clinic, covering all front office stations. Each station has specific tasks; employees must complete duties of all stations and assist colleagues as needed, ensuring consistent, flexible performance to meet time‑sensitive priorities. Responsibilities Perform all duties for each front office station, including scheduling, registration, billing, and patient communication. Assist colleagues in performing any PSS job duty as required. Maintain accurate and organized records; perform copywriting and editing tasks for clinic communications. Execute additional duties or projects assigned by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required). Experience in healthcare preferred. Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to meet time‑sensitive priorities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Core Capabilities Analysis & Critical Thinking: problem solving, analysis, decision‑making, planning, time management, organizational skills. Interpersonal Effectiveness: emotional intelligence, diplomacy, conflict management, sensitivity to confidential material. Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Certifications / Licenses Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and off‑site meetings. Compliance with company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy required. Travel 26–50% travel; 0% remote. Standard Core Workdays / Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM. Screenings & Health Background, drug, and nicotine screens are required. New hires must receive vaccinations, including influenza. Drug‑free workplace; medical marijuana cards not recognized.
