Medical Billing and Coding Instructor

CMVC is seeking bilingual (english/spanish) instructors to teach in person the Medical Billing and Coding program at the Fort Lauderdale Campus. Instructors at our institution are role models for our students and are required to deliver high-quality career education. Student success is what our career education is all about. Instructors are to teach with an emphasis on preparing students for employment as Medical Billers and Medical Coders and a successful career after graduation. Specific Responsibilities Provide career education and high-quality instruction to students aspiring to become Medical Billers and Medical Coders. Use teaching resources provided including technological tools to teach students the required objectives and competencies. Demonstrate excellent understanding and supports of all administrative policies and procedures. Follows the policies, procedures, and best practices in the Faculty Manual. Timely records and enters attendance, grades, and student progress notes in the student information system. Prepares and organizes daily lesson plans directly from the syllabus and teaching resources. Responsible for the student attendance record and overall retention for each course taught. Responsible for having a high level of student satisfaction and retention while adhering to administrative policies and procedures. When providing instructions to students, follows the curriculum and provides practical hands‑on instruction to students while adhering to administrative policies. Collaborates with Student Services to ensure an excellent student experience. Files all faculty, student, academic, and administrative reports timely and completely. Assure structured discipline and appropriate classroom management are being practiced. Assist students in receiving academic and student support services that are beyond the instructor level. Collaborates with academic staff and administration to continuously improve the education offered. Candidates must have an Associate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience, teaching experience highly desired.
