Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow effective returns to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.

Responsibilities:

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand the organization's performance improvement methodology and engage in initiatives to improve quality of service.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school (Required)
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience (Required)
• CPR certification (Required)
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed (Required)
• Previous successful assignments with the agency are highly desired.
