Summary of Position: At Crooked Hammock Brewery, every plate that leaves our kitchen should look great, taste great and arrive exactly how it was ordered. Our Kitchen Expeditor is the person at the center of making that happen. Working at the kitchen window, the Expeditor keeps a pulse on service and connects our front-of-house and back-of-house teams. You'll organize orders, check each plate for quality and accuracy, coordinate timing and communicate with the kitchen and service teams to make sure food gets from our kitchen to our guests quickly and correctly. When the backyard fills up, you're the steady presence at the window helping everyone stay on the same page. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, a strong communicator and comfortable keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to know our menu inside and out, stay calm when things get busy and take pride in knowing that you're helping create a great experience for every table. The Backyard is Calling!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room and help keep service running smoothly
• Review tickets and organize orders to ensure each table's food is prepared and delivered with proper timing
• Check every dish for accuracy, presentation, portioning and quality before it leaves the kitchen
• Ensure modifications, allergies and special guest requests are clearly communicated and properly executed
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the Crooked Hammock menu, including ingredients, preparation methods and common modifications
• Communicate clearly and consistently with cooks, servers, food runners and managers throughout service
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure complete orders reach the table together whenever possible
• Assist with final plate presentation, garnishing and assembly according to Crooked Hammock standards
• Keep the expo line clean, organized, stocked and ready for service
• Restock plates, utensils, condiments and other supplies needed at the window
• Anticipate potential delays or issues and communicate them quickly so the team can respond before they impact the guest experience
• Maintain awareness of the overall pace of service and help prioritize orders during high-volume periods
• Stay calm, focused and organized when the kitchen and backyard get busy
• Support food runners and service team members as needed to get food to guests promptly
• Work as the connection between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, helping everyone communicate and operate as one team
• Jump in wherever needed to support smooth restaurant operations and a great guest experience
• Take pride in every plate that leaves the window and help make sure each one represents Crooked Hammock at its best

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
• Must be clean, organized and able to project his or her voice.
• Must be quick and deliberate.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Pay & Perks:
