Fire Sprinkler Designer

• Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer
• Salary: 40-65/hr + OT + profit sharing
• Location: Denver, CO

Position Overview
Based in Denver, CO, we're a leading fire life & safety contractor with a strong track record and excellent reputation. Our office has shown tremendous growth over the last 5-6 years, and we've got a high-performing design team of around 10-15 people. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers & employees and driving a strong team dynamic.

Currently, we're seeking a Senior Designer who can lead our design efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of fire sprinkler systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Ensure all designs adhere to NFPA standards and local building codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to integrate fire protection systems into overall building designs.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations and system analyses to ensure effective fire protection solutions.
• Review and approve design drawings and specifications before submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and project team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in fire sprinkler design and safety.
• Prepare project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and compliance certifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years fire sprinkler design and engineering experience
• Active NICET 3, 4 or a Fire Protection Engineering License 
• Proven leadership experience
• Proficient in NFPA code knowledge (13, 13D, 13R, 14, 20, 25 and associated Codes/Standards)
• Experience with design software such as HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK, and Revit
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
