Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Mammography Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Farmington, NM. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Tasks Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements 1 year of experience BLS certification ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography State‑specific licensing when required Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology TotalMed Allied Job ID #1432056.
