Maintenance ManagerAn established commercial printing and manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all facility maintenance activities. This position is responsible for ensuring that production equipment, machinery, and building systems are properly maintained to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.The Maintenance Manager will supervise a Mechanic and Maintenance Technician while fostering a proactive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, train, and develop the maintenance teamPlan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance for printing equipment and facility systemsTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to minimize production downtimeDevelop and improve preventive maintenance programs that extend equipment life and reduce unexpected breakdownsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, replacement parts, and completed workManage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance suppliesDevelop and enforce maintenance procedures, safety standards, and department policiesCoordinate with production and management teams to prioritize maintenance activities based on operational needsEnsure all required safety training is completed within established timelinesMaintain compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policiesManage relationships with equipment vendors, contractors, and service providersMonitor the maintenance budget and identify opportunities to control costsProvide technical guidance and hands-on support to maintenance team membersComplete all required in-person and online safety trainingFollow and enforce all established safety proceduresRequired Skills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance processesPrevious leadership experience, including direct supervision and development of maintenance employeesExcellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize competing responsibilities and manage multiple projectsStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft OfficeProven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leader within a printing or manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience developing and implementing proactive preventive maintenance programsAt least six years of experience within the printing industryExperience maintaining envelope converters, cutters, folders, and related production machineryTechnical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferredPhysical and Scheduling RequirementsFull-time position with occasional evening or weekend availability for urgent repairs or scheduled maintenanceAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularlyManual dexterity and the ability to safely operate hand and power toolsAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noiseWillingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when requiredSafety-Sensitive PositionThis is a safety-sensitive position.
