ED nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from urgent care cases to psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. Promoting a positive patient experience is essential in this role. Travelers must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN, with a patient ratio of 1:5.
