Responsibilities

Develop and maintain policies and procedures for clinical operations.

Ensure compliance of licensing agency regulations, including OLTC, TJC, Medicaid, Department of Health and Department of Education as well as federal regulatory standards for corporate compliance, including HIPAA

Work with the Utilization Review, Admissions Departments, and PRTF Office Manager in scheduling patient admissions and discharges.

Manage staff personnel issues and oversee facility-wide compliance with clinical policies and procedures

Recruit and hire clinical staff

Facilitate the delivery of training and evaluation services and provide coverage for clinical staff

Ensure effectiveness and consistency of training staff involved in direct clinical care via routine supervision, consultation and evaluation.

Facilitate communication within and among departments and address routine personnel and/or policy issues via regularly scheduled meetings with Department Heads and their staff (e.g. Nursing, Education, Program Consultants, etc.)

Disseminate agency and program information to referral agencies, social service agencies, childcare institutions, etc., as needed.

Work closely with the Program Director, Medical Director, and other Program Directors to assure client access to a complete continuum of services.

Assist staff and/or patients with appropriate treatment planning and discharge criteria/plans

As needed, may provide some individual, group and/or family therapy

Address consumer-related issues and problems in a timely manner

Develop and oversee staff work schedules, vacation requests, job assignments, leaves, etc., and keep detailed and accurate documentation of all pertinent information, or assign applicable staff for these tasks

Coordinate treatment team staff meetings and provide pertinent input regarding client concerns, progress, etc., as needed

Work collaboratively with Medical Director concerning treatment issues

Assist in orientation and in-service training

Provide verbal and written reports to the PRTF Program Director as requested

Consult with Program Director and MCH Administrator in changes and/or development of agency guidelines and procedures as they relate to the PRTF.

Coordinate with Program Director in establishing projected goals for agency programs

Participate in QAPI Committee and actively monitor areas related to direct patient care, as needed

Participate in regular Clinical Pertinence Review of agency documentation practices and compliance with specified standards

Participate in Safety/Environment of Care Committee and actively monitor areas related to patient safety and risk management

Perform other related duties as assigned by Program Director or other management

 

Professional Development

Responsibility is assumed for continuing educational and professional development and contributions are made to the professional growth of others.

 

Qualifications

Master’s Degree from accredited institution in human services field.

Licensed in Arkansas as Mental Health Professional; LCSW or LPC preferred.

At least two (2) years Supervisory experience.

Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions. Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time.

Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.

Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items.

Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health.
