Director Of Operations (5992)

This position is responsible for :
Plans, projects, and provides administrative and managerial support for a selected Corps location.
- Supervises, monitors, and evaluates all operations within the location to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished and to confirm adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Ensures the United Way and other grant funding documentation is prepared and funds are administered appropriately.
- Serves as liaison and technical resource, external organizations, Advisory Board, Advisory Councils, and Executive Committees regarding the Corps business and programs.
- Assumes additional responsibilities at the direction of the Divisional Secretary for Program; serves as Salvation Army representative in the community to link Salvation Army programs to outside entities to promote The Salvation Army within the community.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for extended periods of time when reading and preparing reports or resolving operational problems.
- Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
- Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or a related field,

- five years progressively responsible experience in managing business and financial affairs of a complex, multi-functional organization,
- or
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid States Driver's License
