Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 18:45-07:15; 36 or 48 hours per week available; Every other weekend required; Self-scheduling based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Care for post-surgical patients including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, urology, and vascular cases
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 39-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer, through February 27 end date
• 36 hours of paid orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome; occasional floating may be required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• IV start and telemetry experience required
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with post-surgical care including general surgery, orthopedic, GI, vascular, and hepatobiliary patients
• Competency in dysrhythmia interpretation, central line management, chest tubes, blood product administration, and wound care
• Flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions only)
