About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred - BLS certification required Description: One position remains available for submission. The competent nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting. Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to manage long-range goals. Continuously develops skills to cope with and manage contingencies in clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies such as Leadership roles. Consistent with nursing scope and standards of practice, provides nursing care using the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to the level of practice. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources to improve patient outcomes.
