Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle intake and discharge processes as assigned. Assist in the vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training. Serve as Case Manager for a group of assigned patients when required. Perform initial nursing assessment, communicate findings with the assigned physician, assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, evaluate patient status relative to desired outcomes, and identify situations requiring intervention. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients or caregivers, and act as a patient advocate in care delivery and coordination. Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training. May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric safety director training. Collaborate as needed with healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs. Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy. Perform other duties as required. Education & Credentials Degree in Nursing (ADN). Current RN license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care certification preferred. Wound care experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support). Strong organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills. Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations. Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to translate complex technical terms into layperson’s terms. Customer service and follow‑up skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Teaching skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and remain calm in all situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems. Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours). Repetitive motions, moving, pushing/pulling, reading, bending/stooping. Communicating, reaching/grasping/touching with hands. Detecting sounds by ear, writing, viewing computer screen for extended periods. Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds, and lifting/moving up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance. Keying frequently on a computer (4+ hours). Travel distances (car, airplane, etc.) and color perception. Work Environment Normal office environment. Exposure to mechanical equipment and electrical current. Patient care environment with proximity to moving objects. Potential exposure to hazards (blood‑borne pathogens, body fluids, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, etc.).
