Parts Counterperson

We’re looking for an organized, customer-focused Parts Counterperson to join our growing team. About the Role As our Parts Counterperson, you'll be the go-to resource for customers, technicians, and service advisors looking for the right parts and accessories. You'll manage parts inventory, process orders, and provide excellent service at the counter and over the phone — all while helping keep our service and body shop operations running smoothly. What You'll Do Assist retail customers, wholesale accounts, and internal technicians in identifying and purchasing correct parts Look up parts using dealership/manufacturer parts catalogs and inventory systems Process parts orders, returns, and special orders accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate inventory counts; assist with cycle counts and stock organization Answer phone and in-person inquiries regarding parts availability, pricing, and order status Coordinate with the service department and technicians to ensure timely parts availability for repairs Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and build strong customer relationships Follow proper documentation and billing procedures What We're Looking For Previous parts counter or automotive parts experience preferred (Mitsubishi or other OEM experience a plus) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs/diagrams Basic computer skills (DMS/inventory software experience a plus — CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to lift-up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods Valid driver's license Positive, team-first attitude Why Join Banister Mitsubishi of Hampton Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Ongoing training and opportunities for advancement Supportive, team-oriented dealership culture Banister Mitsubishi of Hampton is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
