CNC MachinistNow hiring for a CNC Machinist in Arcadia, LA with a pay range of $20.00 – $30.00 per hour. This opportunity lets you program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality.Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED required2 years of post-secondary training in CAD, machining, or a related field preferredEquivalent experience operating CNC lathes and cylindrical grinders may be consideredExperience Requirements:Experience with CNC machining, tooling, or precision manufacturingAbility to read engineering drawings and technical specificationsFamiliarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming preferredExperience using precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power toolsStrong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsJob Duties:Manufacture and maintain tooling components and mandrels for pilger machine operationsSet up and operate CNC lathes, cylindrical grinders, vertical mills, thread grinders, and other machining equipmentUtilize CAD/CAM software to support tooling design and production processesSelect and install tooling, fixtures, and machine settings for production runsSharpen drills, straighten mandrels, and perform polishing and finishing operationsInspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specificationsMaintain accurate production records and tooling documentationPerform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustmentsKeep the tooling area, equipment, and workspaces organized and cleanFollow established safety procedures and support quality systems including ISO and AS standardsApply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices to reduce defects and improve efficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.Physical Capabilities:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.Benefits vary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
