Take on a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract position running from ASAP through May 21. This engaging role is onsite and designed for professionals experienced with self-contained classrooms and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with emotional disabilities or other special education needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Valid K-12 Special Education Certificate in Arizona
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience working with students who have emotional disabilities or those identified in other special education eligibility areas, especially those struggling with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Awareness of the needs of diverse student populations, including at-risk, ethnically diverse, limited English proficient, and students with exceptionalities
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement special services and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, or willingness to participate in staff development
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and innovative instruction to secondary students in a self-contained setting
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective IEPs and related documentation
- Maintain compliance with all policies, timelines, and best practices
- Proactively communicate with families and school staff to ensure student success
