Junior Software Developer

Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical software applications while working alongside experienced developers and technical teams. This position is hybrid and requires on-site support at Scott AFB, IL. Duties & Responsibilities Write clean, maintainable code using object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles. Participate in code reviews, both submitting work for review and reviewing others' code. Support and maintain legacy .NET Framework applications under the direction of seniors. Contribute to scoped portions of the application design process. Assist in triaging production issues alongside senior developers and DevOps. Document assigned work and communicate status clearly to a cross-functional development team. Build working knowledge of the program's technology stack and the Agile process. Stay current on programming techniques and software technologies. Qualifications Active Secret clearance (required). 0-2 years of relevant programming/software development experience. Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire date (required). Desired Skills: Exposure to cloud environments (AWS EC2). Experience working on a GIS application. Experience with Oracle. Experience developing in Java. Familiarity with basic server administration tasks. Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) and QA.
