Line Cook - Seasonal (Parks)

Golf Division Cook

$13.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience

This position is hired in the golf division of the parks and recreation department.

Essential job functions:

• Assist restaurant/assistant restaurant manager/chef in cooking and preparation of food.
• Supervise kitchen personnel under the direction of the restaurant manager/chef.
• Ensure food items are prepared according to standards of quality, consistency and time lines.
• Receive and fulfill food orders using a restaurant point-of-sale system.
• Answer questions about cooking methods, menu items and specials
• Purchase various food products as directed by restaurant manager/chef, order and receive deliveries, and restock supplies as necessary
• Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-the-house area.

Minimum requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid food handlers permit.
