Medical Assistant
Location: Berea, KY
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 5 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted
Pay Rate: $22–$24/hr
Note: This job doesn't offer any benefits.
Schedule:
- Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients.
- Schedule appointments and answer patient inquiries.
- Obtain and document vital signs.
- Perform blood draws and venipuncture.
- Administer vaccines as directed.
- Perform EKGs and POC testing.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR.
- Provide clinical and administrative support.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Support health education and outreach activities.
- Follow established clinical and workplace procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship.
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
- Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
- EMR experience required.
- Strong communication, patient-service, and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- BLS or CPR required. Candidates without either may start pending approval.
