Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14–22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 4:1
• Perform and assist with procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
• Support thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants, as well as neuro, orthopedic, and general surgery services
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Function as a collaborative team member in a supportive, full-team environment where all staff assist one another
• Float to NICU Level 1 or Level 2 as needed; fulfill weekend commitment of 4 weekend days per 4-week period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience in a charge-nurse-free unit environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
