SkillBridge Military Internship - Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Job Description Cydecor is seeking transitioning Active-Duty Service Members interested in exploring careers in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Workforce Planning, and Corporate Operations through the Department of War SkillBridge Program. This hands‑on internship provides military personnel with exposure to how a national security/defense contractor attracts, hires, and retains the highly skilled workforce that supports critical government missions. Participants will work directly alongside Cydecor's Talent Acquisition team while developing transferable business skills applicable to recruiting, HR, workforce planning, program management, operations, and business development careers. This opportunity is ideal for military members who have experience leading teams, managing personnel, coordinating staffing requirements, conducting interviews, career counseling, training management, manpower planning, or workforce administration during their military service. Upon successful completion, participants may be considered for future opportunities within Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Operations, or other corporate functions based on organizational needs and individual performance. Responsibilities What You’ll Learn Participants will gain practical experience in: Corporate recruiting and talent acquisition Workforce planning and staffing strategy Candidate sourcing and outreach Interviewing and candidate assessment Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Human resources operations Employment branding and social media recruiting Hiring event planning and execution Federal contracting workforce requirements Recruitment metrics and analytics Compliance and hiring regulations Business communication and stakeholder engagement Program Highlights Phase 1: Corporate Recruiting Foundations Introduction to Talent Acquisition and Human Resources National security recruiting fundamentals Recruiting tools and sourcing platforms Candidate identification and outreach strategies Phase 2: Candidate Engagement & Assessment Resume evaluation techniques Interviewing and screening best practicesCandidate relationship management Hiring manager partnership Phase 3: Recruiting Operations Applicant Tracking System (ATS) training Offer letter and onboarding processes Recruiting compliance and documentation Recruitment reporting and analytics Phase 4: Strategic Workforce Planning Workforce forecasting and staffing strategies Recruitment marketing and employer branding Hiring event planning and execution Talent acquisition metrics and business impact Phase 5: Applied Experience Full lifecycle recruiting activities Independent project assignments Executive mentorship and coaching Career transition planning Here’s What You Need Active‑Duty U.S. military service member Eligible for participation in the DoW SkillBridge Program Approved by military command to participate Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership experience Interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Business Operations, or Corporate Functions Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Bonus Points If You Have Recruiting and Retention Human Resources Personnel Administration Career Counseling Training Management Manpower and Personnel Planning Operations Management Leadership and Supervisory Roles Security Clearance None; ability to acquire a clearance required (US citizenship). Education High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree desired. Work Schedule 3–4 days per week on‑site 1–2 days per week remote Compensation and Benefits This position is an uncompensated SkillBridge internship. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
