About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its custom-engineered manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a strong background in driving operational efficiencies and delivering consistent results. Key responsibilities for the COO include establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics to support strategic decision-making, as well as overseeing product design, engineering, and manufacturing processes. The role demands a hands-on leader with extensive experience in process implementation and performance improvement, particularly in a multi-location, middle-market manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of operations, engineering, procurement, and product development processes, and will have a track record of introducing and building process improvement initiatives, such as Lean/Six Sigma, in both large corporate and mid-sized organizational settings. The COO will be instrumental in supporting the company's aggressive long-term growth plans, which are being fueled by both acquisitive and organic means. A background in a similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on highly engineered component products, is essential. The role requires a change driver with a high-energy, proactive approach, who can inspire and motivate a talented engineering and multi-site production operations team. The COO will be expected to be an "in the trenches" leader, working closely with the team to ensure the successful execution of the company's operational and strategic objectives.
