Payroll Specialist

Our client, a leading name in the beauty and retail industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Please note this is a hybrid, 3-6 month contract based in San Francisco, CA. Pay will be $27/hr. Key Responsibilities: Assist with biweekly payroll processing and auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations Manage and resolve employee payroll inquiries through the HLOL ticketing system in a timely and professional manner Process daily terminations and ensure all final payments and records are accurately updated Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate payroll data and reporting Support payroll team with ad-hoc requests, audits, and special projects as needed Qualifications: 1–3 years of payroll experience preferred Basic understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and wage laws Prior experience with Dayforce or other HRIS/payroll systems highly preferred Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity We will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
