Maintenance Technician 1Reports to: Facilities SupervisorPurpose: Responsible for general maintenance and providing a safe and clean work environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Advocates for the mission of the organization and upholds the agency's values.Facilitates minor repairs and installations.Performs routine preventative maintenance.Completes work orders as assigned.Ensures timely completion of unit turnovers.Maintains property and landscape including grass cutting, trash and snow removal.Provides superior customer service.Experience and Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical or building trade education helpful.One year maintenance experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge of electrical, painting, plumbing, and carpentry required.Well organized, able to prioritize own work.Quick learner interested in expanding knowledge and experience.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Team builder who inspires and motivates others to perform their best.Can work effectively independently as well as a member of a team.Commitment to task-is tenacious, can achieve results in an environment when priorities change quickly.Physical requirements:Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, etc.Ability to work in an environment in which the job is performed, such as working in hot, cold, dusty, etc. conditions.Electrical Knowledge:Replace light bulbsSmoke and CO detectors – testingEmergency lighting (Batteries) testingG.F.C.I. testingPlumbing Knowledge:PVCReplace faucetsClear traps and drainsRepair leaksCarpentry Knowledge:Repair windowsRepair doorsRepair flooringTools Knowledge:Skill sawDrillHand toolsLaddersEqual Opportunity Employer:Crossroads is an equal opportunity employer.
