Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required.
- Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; call center experience preferred.
Job Duties- Answer incoming calls, assess caller needs, route calls appropriately, and accurately communicate patient messages.
- Schedule new, referred, and returning patients while maintaining accurate documentation and information within the scheduling system.
- Coordinate appointment cancellations and rescheduling based on provider availability and schedule changes.
- Enter and maintain referral, authorization, and related correspondence in patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments at the time of service.
- Coordinate outpatient testing, procedures, surgeries, hospital admissions, and required pre-certifications as applicable.
- Maintain patient confidentiality while providing professional communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
Additional Information- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Pay Range: $21 - $23\/hr.
- Work Environment: On-site medical office setting with regular interaction with patients and the public.
