Senior Data EngineerCollaborate with other internal teams to design data pipelines to ingest information from various systems to our BigQuery or Redshift data warehouseTake ownership of the codebase, identifying gaps, areas for improvement, refactoring where needed, and keeping the design fresh and modernActively code to unblock technical and communication challenges as necessary to ensure teams meet product roadmaps and close those gapsParticipate in architecture review decisions, designs, and documentation that will govern the direction of the team, the codebase, and multiple products over a several month timeframeCommunicate effectively with stakeholders (upper management, engineering manager, product manager, and peers) regarding the product you are responsible forProvide feedback and participate in pair programming exercisesTeam delivers reliable, scalable, high performing customer facing analytic services within analytic SLAsTeam consistently delivers committed business initiatives and coordinates with other stakeholders to roll out products with analytic insightsBusiness teams and Customers are empowered with AI assisted insights without dependency on engineeringConsistently deliver high quality code that is easily maintained and scaled. You can diagnose the problem, come up with a plan to address it, and see that plan throughExperience owning data integrity, ensuring that data is reliable, timely, and traceable from source to consumptionExperience creating and maintaining Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Pipelines and using modern ETL tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, DBT, S3, Airbyte, ConfluentExperience creating and maintaining analytic semantic layers and business intelligence dashboard such as Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.Proficiency in leveraging AI agents and other AI tools to significantly enhance developer productivityExperience working with database and data warehouse technologies such as Postgres, Bigquery, and RedshiftExperience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCPExperience in developing large scale data models and complex data pipelinesPreferred: Experience in working with large slow changing dimension data modelsPreferred: Experience in the US healthcare system, in particular with data systems and EHRs such as Epic, Cerner or AthenahealthBS Degree or equivalent work experienceFive years experience developing data platforms using Python, SQLAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sourcesStandard categories The physical capabilities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
