Maintenance Technician Position Summary Courtyard by Marriott - High Point is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC. This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment in a commercial building. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair all equipment in the commercial building. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Follow instructions and recognize problems with equipment or its operation. Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers. Perform manual repairs when necessary (e.g., fix locks, replace windows). Conduct general upkeep procedures including landscaping, wallpaper repairs, and other maintenance tasks. Perform room preventative maintenance on guest rooms. Work independently and as part of a team. Perform tasks that involve lifting 50 pounds or more. Work in all weather conditions and outdoors. Travel to different locations when necessary. Qualifications Minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work on site in all weather conditions. Capability to travel to different locations as required. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
