QA/QC Inspector

Quality InspectorUnder general supervision, applies skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of materials, equipment and installation of materials and equipment to Wanzek or Client specifications. Performs inspection of various project activities; generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities; Notifies management of significant problems; Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.Responsibilities:Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and proceduresInspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the overall construction on large scale wind, solar, and industrial projectsDemonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skillsPrevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspectionsDetects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective mannerWork closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirementsMaintain complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to permanent hard copy and/or electronic filesInspect the work and establish punch listsCapable of determining calibration status of measuring and test equipmentEnsures daily task schedules are met to meet the project scheduleInteracts cross-functionally with craft personnel and other team membersQualifications:Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field Or High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 1-3 years experience in related construction fieldInspection related certifications, such as NDE, preferredTake reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principlesAbility to independently perform workAbility to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical proceduresWrite daily reports and document project activitiesEffectively collect and record field data to assure activities are conforming to corporate Quality Control proceduresAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference and volumeAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryAbility to solve problems individually and in a team settingFinancial Wellbeing:Compensation: $19.00-$23.00/hourly, commensurate with experience401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)Health & Wellness Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children Diabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug PlanMasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
