Part Time Pharmacy AssistantJoin our team as a Part Time Pharmacy Assistant at Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA!*4 hour shifts, M-F in the afternoon until 6:30 pmPharmacy Assistants play a vital role in supporting patient access to medications and pharmacy services at YVFWC. This role provides essential clerical, customer service, and medication support functions to help ensure patients receive accurate, timely, and safe pharmacy services. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Position Highlights:0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)$18.75-$22.97/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidatesAdditional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked100% employer-paid health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicineProfit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan availableGenerous PTO, 8 paid holidays, and much more!What You'll Do:Answers the phone, answers non-professional level inquiries and transfers calls to appropriate staffEnters patient data and billing information in the system including patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor and diagnosisDelivers prescription to the patient verifying correct medication is provided. Collects payment and signature from the patientCoordinates prescription counseling by the Pharmacist as neededMaintains awareness of stock level and enters order for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels. Verifies quantity and submits order to the WholesalerVerifies product orders received with invoice and purchase order. Places a sticker on each item and places it on the shelfMonitors and checks expiration dates on drugs in stockReturns or discards dispensed prescription to stock if not picked up by patient. Enters information in the system for reverse billing as allowed by state regulationsProcesses prescription refills verifying refill availability as allowed by state regulationsCompletes third party billing form and contacts Provider if prior authorization as allowed by state regulationsPerforms clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and YVFWC requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDOne year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care or customer service experiencePharmacy Assistant state registration required within 60 days of hire (or active Pharmacy Intern License)Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approachKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning and copyingAbility to work as part of a team in a fast paced environmentAbility to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detailBasic proficiency with a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Office preferredBasic knowledge of a minimum of one pharmacy software system preferredDrug testing: This job will require a pre-employment drug screen which would take place after extending a conditional offer of employmentOur Mission Statement"Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being."Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
