Associate

Grange Park Partners is seeking an Associate to join our growing M&A execution firm.

Grange Park Partners provides hands-on transaction support to businesses, financial sponsors, and family offices navigating M&A transactions. We operate as our clients’ internal M&A deal team, helping manage and execute transactions from initial preparation and advisor selection through due diligence management and closing.

This will be Grange Park Partners’ first hire and represents a unique opportunity to join a growing firm at an early stage, take significant responsibility across an active pipeline of transactions, and have meaningful exposure to clients and senior decision-makers from day one.

The Opportunity

This role offers a unique combination of private equity, investment banking, and corporate development experience in a single seat.

Depending on the engagement, you may serve as part of the deal team evaluating and executing an acquisition for a financial sponsor or corporate acquirer, help a founder or family-owned business manage a sale process, or serve as an outsourced corporate development resource for a company pursuing acquisitions.

The role provides broad exposure across the full M&A lifecycle, with the opportunity to develop the analytical, transactional, and client-facing skills required to lead complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions
\n
• Build and analyze financial models, valuation analyses, transaction models, and other financial analyses
\n
• Assess acquisition opportunities, including transaction rationale, valuation, financial performance, key diligence findings, and potential risks
\n
• Manage financial, operational, commercial, and legal diligence workstreams
\n
• Coordinate with investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, quality-of-earnings providers, and other transaction and diligence advisors
\n
• Organize and synthesize financial, operational, and diligence information to support transaction decision-making
\n
• Identify key transaction issues, communicate findings clearly, and help drive issues toward resolution
\n
• Manage transaction timelines, workstreams, data requests, and deliverables
\n
• Participate directly in client meetings, diligence discussions, advisor calls, and other transaction-related conversations
\n
• Take ownership of client relationships and deal execution
\n
• Contribute to the continued development and growth of Grange Park Partners as an early member of the team
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 1–2 years of investment banking or private equity experience
\n
• Meaningful experience working on M&A transactions involving founder- or family-owned businesses
\n
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
\n
• Solid understanding of financial statements, transaction mechanics, and M&A processes
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
\n
• Comfortable working directly with clients, senior executives, and professional advisors
\n
• Ability to operate independently, exercise good judgment, and take ownership
\n
• Highly motivated, proactive, resourceful, and execution-oriented
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
\n
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application to financial analysis, research, and transaction-related workflows is a plus

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus.

Location: New York-based; remote to start.
