Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Responsibilities: * Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses * Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments * Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients * Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures * Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities * Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care * Perform employer-based DOT and pre-employment physicals * Perform medical evaluation on all walk-in patients * Perform procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, ingrown toenail removal and splinting * Call back patients with sensitive or send-out test results * Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses * Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments * Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients * Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures * Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities * Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care * Qualifications: * Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields * Ability to build rapport with patients * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong leadership qualities * Must have completed 500 hours post-graduation evaluation to be considered * Physician Assistant-Certified * Licensed to practice in Ohio * Must be a DOT-certified FMCSA examiner, or willing to study for and pass the NRCME examination * 2+ year experience in urgent care mandatory * Must work 1 to 2 weekends per month, depending on clinic's need. * DEA licensed * Company Description A family practice & urgent care is seeking to hire a responsible and reliable Receptionist with at least one year of experience in Medical Office.
