Job Description \n \n VCA South Shore Weymouth Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team at our busy, 24-hour emergency/referral/multi -specialty and general practice in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. \n \n Do you thrive in an environment that promotes and encourages growth and development? Our team is collaborative, supportive, and progressive and we want to give you the opportunity to expand your skills and follow your dreams at our 24-hour Emergency / Specialty / and General Practice hospital. \n \n Compensation : $25.00 - $38.00 / hour for a CVT. based on skill set, experience and licensure status. Experienced Veterinary Assistants welcome to apply. \n \n Schedule: Mostly weekdays, and rotating weekends. \n \n \n Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties : \n \n Procedural anesthesia monitoring \n Ability to calculate drug doses \n Full Technician Skill Utilization, bronchoscopy, endoscopes, and more! \n Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams \n Venipuncture / IVC placement \n Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority) \n Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services \n Providing compassionate care for all patients \n Paid on-call availability \n Ability to work additional hours if necessary \n Minimum 1 year experience \n \n \n What Makes VCA South Shore Unique? \n We have an on-site social worker to support you!
