Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.

Required Credentials: Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed, updated every 3 years. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed, updated every 3 years.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details: Cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with significant cardiac history and related conditions, including chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. Common diagnostics and procedures include echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization, MitraClip, Watchman, Tikosyn initiation, and TAVR. May be asked to help precept new hires and RN residents. Unit may overflow generalized med/surg and other non-cardiac patients as needed.

Floating Requirements: First to float to Med/Surg if needed.

5 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
