Staff Mentor – Short Term Adolescent Recovery (STAR) – McKean County (Bradford, PA) Hourly: $18.38 Full Time – 40 Hours

SUMMARY

Provide support to program staff and leadership. Train new staff, facilitate trauma‑informed practices, and assist leadership in staff morale and training initiatives. Coach new hires during their on‑the‑job training and deliver SCM and CPR/First Aid training. The STAR program is a Joint Commission accredited residential program for children ages 8–18. Children must live within a 2‑hour radius of the facility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 5 years of experience in a residential setting, including MH‑IDD experience. Prior training experience required. Certified SCM, Ukeru, and CPR/First Aid instructor or commitment to obtain certifications within 6 months of hire. Agency driver license required within 90 days of hire.

SUMMARY

Support staff, assist training, monitor staff morale, and provide SCM and CPR/First Aid training. The GIRLS program is a Joint Commission accredited residential program for female youth ages 13–18 with a mental health diagnosis.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1–4 years of experience in a residential setting, including MH‑IDD experience. Prior training experience required. Certified SCM, Ukeru, and CPR/First Aid instructor or commitment to obtain certifications within 6 months of hire. Agency driver license required within 90 days of hire.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with intellectually disabled adults preferred.

Provide person‑centered therapy, behavioral interventions, and family support in residential or school‑based settings. Therapists deliver individual, family, and group counseling; facilitate crisis management; and coordinate services with multidisciplinary teams.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Licensed or credentialed in the state, or Brazilian license required for specific roles. Experience in intensive treatment with youth or adults with intellectual or developmental needs. Certification in SCM, Ukeru, CPR/First Aid, and valid driver license required.
