**Exciting Opportunity for a Night Shift Med/Surg RN!** **Job Description:** - Position: Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical - Location: Med/Surg 5th Floor - Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00) - Experience Required: 24 months nursing experience (1 year recent experience mandatory for first-time travelers) - Patient Ratio: 1:6 **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more - Manage colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management - Administer IV therapy, blood product administration, and medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA) - Perform pre/post hemodialysis management and care for patients with renal failure - Ensure proper wound care and management, including Wound Vac systems - Utilize skills in respiratory care, including chest tubes and oxygen administration - Implement isolation precautions and use PPE effectively - Engage in rapid response team activations as necessary **Work Environment:** - 32-bed medical/surgical unit - Fast-paced team atmosphere with supportive staff - Float required to like units, with no call obligations - Orientation: 24 hours **Scheduling:** - Self-scheduling with a requirement of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period - 1 request for pre-approved time off **Professional Requirements:** - Certifications: BLS required, CPI preferred - Skills: Neurological/Psychiatric experience is preferred **Patient Demographic:** - Primarily Adults and Geriatrics **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
