Apply today!SummaryPerforms professional accounting functions supporting the district's financial accounting and reporting activities under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager. Responsible for day-to-day accounting analysis, reconciliations, reporting preparation, and technical accounting support to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with adherence to applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, District policies and internal controls. Promotes sound financial management across the district through accurate financial reporting and financial management.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field AND Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience in the public sector or governmental accounting. OR Six (6) years of professional accounting experienceOne (1) year of supervisory experienceOne (1) year of customer service experienceKnowledge and experience with governmental ERP systems like Oracle, Tyler, SAP, Infinite Visions or similar.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and governmental auditing standards.Verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to read and comprehend written, graphic, and oral instructionsKnowledge and ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, and database programsRequirements Prior To Start DateFBI fingerprint background checkProof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunizationPreferred QualificationsExperience in School District or governmental accounting functionsCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Managers (CGFM) or Certified Administrator of School Finance & Operations (SFO)Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR LOCATION: District Office - 1010 E Tenth St FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day Work Calendar: 12 monthPositions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
