Field: Obstetrics and Gynecology

Position Overview

Specialty: OB/GYN

Location: Our medical center in Alpena, MI

Work Type: Call duty; clinic time is available but not mandatory. Please indicate if the candidate is willing to assist in the clinic.

Schedule

Orientation will take place one business day before the first shift. Proctoring will be arranged once the initial shift is confirmed.

• 8/25 @ 7am - 8/26 @ 7am
• 8/31 @ 7am - 9/2 @ 7am
• 9/3 @ 7am - 9/4 @ 7am
• 9/7 @ 7am - 9/9 @ 7am
• 10/15 @ 7am - 10/17 @ 7am
• 10/20 @ 7am - 10/21 @ 7am
• 11/3 @ 7am - 7pm (24-hour shift available if needed)
• 11/12 @ 7am - 11/13 @ 7am

Procedures and Cases

The following procedures will be part of the responsibilities:

• Suction D&C
• Laparoscopy
• Reading NSTs
• C-Sections
• Circumcisions
• Tubal Ligations

Technology Utilized

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and dictation tools include EPIC and Dragon .

Credentialing Requirements

• All residencies and fellowships must be ACGME accredited.
• No significant malpractice issues.
• NPDB report must be obtained within the last 90 days.
• Three professional references from colleagues within the past 18 months.
• Case logs demonstrating 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within the last 12 months.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within the last 5 years.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Case Log Specifications

Logs must reflect:

• 50 deliveries
• 25 GYN procedures within the last 12 months

Licensing Considerations: Preference for a Michigan license due to timeline; IMLC will also be considered.

Credentialing Timeline

The typical timeframe for credentialing is around 30 days, although applications are prioritized based on the start date.
