Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend & Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry and cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemakers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, COVID/BiPAP, and acute-on-chronic conditions
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
• Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and telemetry monitors
• Manage patients at PCU-level care when overflow occurs, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 for PCU-level, 1:4–5 general)
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo/high-flow devices
• Float as needed to PCU, medical-surgical units, and ER holding areas based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated PCU experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
• Familiarity with BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
