Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Clinical Pharmacist role is available on a contract basis at a community hospital with over 200 beds in the Alexandria, LA area. This position offers an opportunity to apply your pharmacy expertise in a dynamic hospital environment equipped with EPIC and Pyxis systems.

Location:

• Alexandria, LA

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule with varied shift times: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Every other weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain effective workflow
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient pharmacotherapy
• Manage pharmacokinetics-related duties to support individualized patient care
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid pharmacist license appropriate for the state
• Experience working in a clinical pharmacy setting, particularly in hospital environments
• Proficiency with electronic health records and medication dispensing technology (EPIC, Pyxis)
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
