Coax Splicer
Schedule: Nights (9 PM – 6/7 AM), weekends as needed
Position Overview:
The Coax Splicer supports HFC network upgrades including high-split programs, working on actives and passives in aerial and underground environments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform coax splicing (.875, .750, .715, .700, .625, .540, .500)
- Execute amplifier swaps and span replacements
- Support high-split upgrades and balancing
- Read signal levels and verify EOL
- Work aerial and underground environments
- Access plant via ladder, bucket truck, or climbing when needed
- Maintain documentation and safety standards
Requirements:
- 2+ years coax splicing experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bucket truck experience preferred
- Climbing experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Work outdoors in all weather
- Comfortable at heights
