Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:


Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room environment. Ensure patient safety, assist with surgical procedures, and coordinate pre- and post-operative care to facilitate smooth surgical workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.
• Circulate cases independently by managing sterile technique, equipment setup, and patient positioning.
• Transport patients to and from the OR and assist with turnover cleaning to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Schedule and prepare cases, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist with patient monitoring, maintaining anesthesia, and documenting procedures.
• Support department staff with equipment utilization and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Hawaii RN license with current BLS certification.
• Have a minimum of 2-3 years of circulating experience in a hospital OR setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating room procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to scrub cases is preferred but not required.
• Possess solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Be within a 30-minute radius of the hospital to participate in call rotation.
