Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards. You will also be expected to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise and make recommendations for process improvements.Quality Technician duties and responsibilitiesPerform quality control tests on components, materials, and finished productsIdentify and troubleshoot quality issues and recommend solutionsMaintain testing equipment and records thereofCreate and maintain quality control documentation and reportsCollaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are metConduct audits of production processes to ensure compliance with regulations and standardsTrain production staff on quality control procedures and standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processesCommunicate quality control findings and recommendations to managementQuality Technician requirements and qualificationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsKnowledge of quality control processes and proceduresExperience with inspection tools and equipmentStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant softwareAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirementsAssociate's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experienceCertification or ability to certify in necessary quality processesExperience in a manufacturing or production environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systemsExperience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement toolsAbility to analyze data and identify trendsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesKnowledge or experience in the following a plusSteel grade chemistry compositionsPhysical PropertiesMachining CharacteristicsMicrostructureSteel Making and Casting operationsCold Finishing operationsSurface Conditions and Surface defectsHeat treating OperationsProduct and Processing limitationsASTM, SAE, Industry TolerancesTesting Features and LimitationsFailure Analysis
