Body Shop Technician

Description Join our dynamic team as an Assembler/Disassembler/Body Technician, where you'll play a vital role in vehicle restoration, repair, and assembly processes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of automotive projects, utilizing your skills and passion for collision repair work. You will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling vehicles, repairing auto bodies, and ensuring each vehicle meets our high standards of quality and safety. Duties Disassemble vehicles carefully, documenting parts and procedures to ensure accurate reassembly Repair or replace damaged auto body panels using MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and auto painting techniques Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and airless paint sprayers to perform repairs and finishing touches Perform auto glass replacement and auto restoration tasks with precision and care Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, including mechanical inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance Assemble vehicle components according to specifications, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards Maintain detailed records of work performed, including auto estimating documentation and repair reports Qualifications Dealership experience or background in automotive repair Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and auto body repair procedures Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety protocols Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients I-Car certification a plus This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle assembly.
