Project Controls Analyst

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Project Controls Analyst with our large power and utilities client in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 3‑year contract with a potential for extension, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the office. Pay: $55.00–$60.00 per hour; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Description Key skills to target: Attention to detail, data analytics, critical thinking. Workers at this level are responsible for routine aspects of project control assignments with close supervision, and are expected to develop their skills to work more independently. Worker will be expected to work with a team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers, performing cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects budgeted anywhere from ***K to ***M annually, comparing monthly actuals to the baseline and identifying variances. This position works in partnership with a more experienced Analyst. Work requires a working knowledge of Excel; the selected candidate must have strong problem‑solving, collaborative and communication skills. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of basic project controls principles. This role typically involves “White” or “Green” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. Required Qualifications Graduation from a two‑year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or an equivalent field; minimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree. Demonstrated working knowledge of project management / project controls concepts and computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from a four‑year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or an equivalent field. PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI‑SP, AACE‑CCC, AACE‑PSP, AACE‑CEP, AACE‑EVP, or equivalent). Experience using software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft.
