Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown | Rock Island, IL

About the Facility

Join a large, well-established regional healthcare system serving the Quad Cities and surrounding communities. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with a high-acuity patient population and a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. The PCU/Stepdown team provides care for complex patients requiring close monitoring, advanced cardiac care, and specialized nursing interventions.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to complex PCU/stepdown patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Manage cardiac drips, medication titration, drains, central lines, and other advanced therapies.
• Monitor and care for patients with chest tubes, trachs, femstops, CBIs, and other specialized needs.
• Float to other local campuses within the same discipline when required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience – Required
• At least 1 completed travel contract – Preferred
• 48-hour weekly commitment
• IL RN license in hand or compact license
• IA license must be applied for at time of offer
• BLS & ACLS – AHA Required
• Must have experience with:
• • Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs
  • Drains and central lines
  • Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin
  • Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban
  • Some titration experience
