Private practice in Chico and in Redding (Two locations) searching for a part-time Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate Clinical Social Worker registered with BBS. The associate will be taking over an existing in-person caseload in Chico. 

Supervision is provided and paid on an hourly basis at $25 per hour for one hour of individual and two hours of group supervision. All new associates get one-on-one supervision for their first unit of supervision with triadic or group supervision for their second unit.

This role requires the applicant to have finished their Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work and to have already received their associate registration number from the BBS.

We also offer extra admin pay for doing marketing tasks such as contributing to the office blog, handing out your business cards to local businesses, etc. to help supplement our associates income if a client cancels or no-shows and you have downtime that you'd rather get paid for.

In this job, the associate is responsible for providing high quality client care, conducting intake assessment, psychodiagnosis, treatment planning, therapy (individual and couples) and discharge planning.

EMDR is the backbone of Inspired Life Counseling and it is a requirement for this position that a clinician is either already trained in an EMDRIA approved Basic Training - OR - that the clinician is willing to have finished training within the first 6 months of employment. Because we understand that when someone is looking for a job, adding in the cost and time to get the training to qualify for the job, we offer a 0% interest loan with repayment taken out of the clinician's paycheck over the course of ten paychecks.

Supervision is with Jessica Wilkerson who has been providing EMDR to her own clients since 2014 and has been fully trained in EFT for couples since 2019 or with Deborah Duell-Stephens, LMFT who specializes in first responders, addiction, and Gottman couples therapy. Group supervision with Jessica consists of other associates who are also using EMDR with clients and can provide a supportive environment for learning the modality once your training is complete.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Completes biopsychosocial intake assessments

2. Provide strength based family centered therapy

3. Conduct treatment planning

4. Creating and Maintaining schedule

5. Collaborative note taking (training provided)

6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Sessions are paid on a piece rate basis which means sessions are paid at $45-55 per session depending on experience and expertise, with admin time paid at $25 per hour. Supervision is paid at the admin rate. We have full time administrative staff who answer and make calls on your behalf, schedule and re-schedule clients, collect fees, upload intake forms, so you can spend your time seeing clients and earning a higher hourly rate. There is very little extra admin work that's not directly related to your session.

A minimum of 10 sessions scheduled is required for this role. This allows the associate to have time in their schedule for their client sessions, supervision , and time for any admin tasks that arise. You may schedule more than ten sessions if you desire and if space is available.

While each therapist is assigned their own hipaa compliant email and phone number, we also have an admin staff to support our clinicians with scheduling, billing, and general admin tasks that therapists notoriously need support with so they can focus on doing the good work they spent all those years in school to learn.

• As a private practice, we can only hire associates you have graduated and are registered with the board. Do you have an active and clear registration with the BBS?

 

Requirements:

• Master's degree or better from accredited university.
• Must have active registration or license in good standing with the BBS (AMFT/LMFT, ASW/LCSW, APCC/LPCC).
• Must be willing to maintain a consistent schedule (we will make that schedule flexibly around your needs, but then it needs to be reasonably consistent since clients usually need regular, recurring appts to avoid no-shows or last min cancels)
• Must already be trained in EMDR or be willing to get trained in EMDR within 3-6 months of hire (EMDRIA approved training required).
