Overview Full‑time Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The role is located in San Antonio, TX. Texas Oncology is one of the largest community oncology providers in the United States, operating over 600 clinicians in 220 sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The organization delivers high‑quality, evidence‑based cancer care in community settings. What does the Clinical Research Nurse (RN) do? This role supports oncology clinical research by caring for patients receiving investigational treatments within the clinic. The Clinical Research Nurse manages patients throughout their clinical trial journey, providing education and fostering relationships while adhering to protocol and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct Qualifications Level 1 Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice Current BLS or ACLS certification required Minimum 1 year RN experience required OCN certification strongly preferred CCRC or CCRP certification preferred Oncology or research experience preferred Level 2 Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology Level Sr Minimum seven years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology Benefits Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance; short‑term and long‑term disability; generous paid time off; 401(k) with company match; wellness program; tuition reimbursement; employee assistance; and retailer discounts.
