Apprentice Plumber

Apprentice PlumberAs an apprentice plumber, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. While working under the guidance of journeyman plumbers, you will learn to install, modify, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water, and drainage systems according to applicable building codes for either single family residential or multifamily housing. The purpose of your apprenticeship is to earn your journeyman license so you can then teach apprentice plumbers the trade.Responsibilities:Learn to inspect, install, modify, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water, and drainage systems according to applicable building codesLearn to read blueprintsComplete quality control sheetsManage multiple projects simultaneouslyManage subcontractors being utilized for the jobBuild and maintain project schedules to meet deadlinesLearn from and take instruction from supervisorsLearn and perform necessary tasks from all phases of PlumbingQualifications:Leadership skills and the ability to empower individuals on your teamAbility to produce quality workExcellent communication skills to be used when working with builders, general contractors, and project managersKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and proceduresAbility to follow directionsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseStrong work ethic that you display dailyAbility to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional SaturdayCore Physical Requirements:Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50–75 lbs independentlyMobility and Agility: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (like crawlspaces or attics), and kneeling or crouching for extended periodsManual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small tools and components with precisionStamina: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8–12 hour shift, often in varying weather conditions or non-climate-controlled environmentsPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
